There is an incredible resort in Central Texas and I’m surprised no one has heard about this yet.I’ve always been an afficionado of tubing and it never gets any better than the Guadalupe river at Gruene. I was there last weekend and let me be the first to tell you that things have changed. Wow. Long gone are the spider web filled river cabins. No more skunks and rodents getting in the garbage. There is now a classy place to stay.
I don’t know if you’ve ever tried to get a cabin on the river and make a weekend of it. But for those poor souls that have tried, you’ll be happy to know there’s finally a decent place to stay on the Guadalupe. It’s called the Hideout on the Horseshoe. Aside from the world class resort, they have created a world class amphitheater.
